The thrill of following and trying to figure out the truth behind something mysterious is always exciting. The best example of this was showcased to us by Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma who ensured secrecy over their wedding like never before, a vibe which later carried on during Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas' weddings next year too. Now, it has emerged Virushka even used fake news during the arrangements of the wedding to ensure there is no leak of information at all.
It was perhaps the first time that we knew that the much-anticipated wedding was about to happen, but there was no confirmation at all from either side. While their wedding venue, Tuscany at Lake Como, Italy and the likely dates did surface eventually, the couple had some interesting ideas up their sleeve to maintain secrecy.
In a recent interview to a fashion magazine, the ‘Sui Dhaaga’ star shared that they used different names while speaking to the caterer and that the Indian captain's name was Rahul.
The name, incidentally, is a very filmy name, courtesy Shah Rukh Khan being named so in as many as eight films, right from 'Darr' to 'Chennai Express.' We wonder if SRK being Anushka's first hero had anything to do with it. Moreover, in her debut 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi', SRK was named Raj for one of the characters, the other on-screen name that he has been named eight times.
In the interview, Anushka also revealed that apart from her friends and family, only her wedding planner, manager and her stylist, Allia Al Rufai knew about the wedding. And even their meetings with Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who designed their outfits, were held hush-hush.
