In response to the same issue, actress Richa Chadha took to her Twitter handle and said: "I applaud the artists fraternity for taking a stand, rejecting the politics of hate.I also understand the motivations of people seeking the destruction of the nation’s social, moral fabric for temporary gains like cash for tweets, laal batti perks etc. It IS an uncertain industry."

She further wrote: "It is every citizen’s right to use their voice and vote. Don’t grudge those who actually believe in the  ideology, they’ll see light or self-destruct, but opportunists are  easy to spot. Vote consciously, correctly, using your head. #UngliDikhao ,vote, get inked and make it count"

The actress with her tweet lead to some discussion and trolling on social media. Filmmaker Ashok Pandit said: "Richa ji. All that you are condemning in your tweet is what we saw & experienced during the Cong. rule. Do I have to remind U those incidents ? These paid communists with the mask of  artists maintained a criminal silence during that time. These seasonal frogs don’t matter."

To which, Richa replied: "Sir,all I am saying is that they have a right to say whatever they want, just like you and I😊we can agree to disagree, but the fact that we can shouldn’t be luxury. India is the world’s largest democracy,so there will be ppl who differ. Also, I dunno if they are communists😳🤔😐"

Mahesh Bhatt's daughter and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt too contributed and said: "Or frogs for that matter. Besides, what is wrong with frogs? 🐸 God’s creatures all, have we not been taught?"

And Richa replied to her back saying: "We’ve kissed many frogs in this country, time to find everlasting love now... we can’t remain frogs in a well forever can we? Frogs 🐸 are important for bio-diversity too."

To which, Pooja replied: "We’ve kissed frogs hoping they turn into princes. That fairy tale needs to be put to rest. Frogs are frogs and that’s how they should remain.Time to kiss ourselves awake from this deep slumber of the soul. As for everlasting love.. that’s a fantasy. Much like everlasting hate.❤️"

Ashok Pandit then wrote: "Wishing U all the best to find your everlasting love . We have already found that in 2014."

And Richa concluded the conversation by saying: "Love > hate any day sir. Happy you've found everlasting love... ❤️"
