Rishi Kapoor & Neetu Kapoor a 'great example of human endurance & triumph': Read Anupam Kher's 'Jai Ho' message

Anupam Kher recently visited his friend and industry-made Rishi and Neetu Kapoor in New York and shared pictures of he get together on Twitter.

Veteran Bollywood star Anupam Kher who is currently in the US owing to his work commitments recently visited, friend and industry-mate Rishi Kapoor who is undergoing treatment in the West. The actor shared pictures with Rishi Kapoor and his wife actress Neetu Kapoor and calls them 'a great example of human endurance'. Rishi who seems to be recovering after a year-long battle with Cancer looked absolutely fit and fine in the recent pictures. He can be seen posing with a bright smile.

Sharing the pictures on Instagram, Anupam Kher who is known to be a very close friend of the actor said that it is always wonderful and inspirational for him to spend time with my friends Rishi and Neetu Kapoor. Further assuring the 'Mulk' actor's good health, he wrote, "Road to recovery, both, physical & mental is faster if there is love, care & determination. Well done!!"

As per media reports, Rishi Kapoor has only one treatment left after which he is planning to return to India. Talking to a daily tabloid, the veteran star reportedly opened up about how he is missing home and is counting days. 

Talking about his health, Rishi said he is 'perfect' now and thanks to the prayers & good wishes from his family. He said that the cancer is in 'remission' and is still 'under treatment'. He further explains that the problem is not the treatment but the 'reaction time' and there is a six-week gap between each treatment.

Revealing when he will be back home, Rishi told Mumbai Mirror that 'not before the end of August'. He is planning on returning 5-6 weeks after his last chemotherapy session as he wants to make sure the 'ailment does not return'. He said he wishes to be back in early September for his birthday but it is 'again nothing but speculation', he said. The actor reportedly also clarified how cancer has changed his perspective towards life and said that he feels overjoyed seeing all his loved ones dropping by to visit him in New York. He said when he first reached, everyone was worried.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rishi Kapoor is all set to star in upcoming comedy-drama 'Jhootha Kahin Ka'. The film also starring Jimmy Shergill in the lead is all set to hit the theaters.
