However now, filmmaker Rahul Rawail took to Facebook and announced, " “RISHI KAPOOR (CHINTU) is CANCER FREE!!!!” alongside a photo of him and the actor."

After the picture was posted, seems like netizens too heaved a sigh of relief. While one user said, " Thank you God, what a relief", the other one said, " Thank God. God bless him with long and healthy life. We want to see him back on the screen soon.". Read some of the reactions below- 

Ever since the veteran actor's leave to the United States, many Bollywood celebrities in the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Aamir Khan and Anupam Kher have paid a visit to him.

In a previous interview, after months of speculation, the veteran actor had finally opened up about his health condition and stated that he is currently undergoing treatment and is on a path to recovery. The actor further shared that the process is long and tedious, and one that needs immense patience, that is not his virtue. 

On the professional front, the actor was last seen in 'Mulk' alongside Taapsee Pannu. It is an Anubhav Sinha directorial and is produced by Deepak Mukut. 

'Mulk' clashed with 'Fanney Khan' and 'Karwaan' and performed decently at the box office.
