Rishi Kapoor meets THIS Bollywood director in New York, says, 'Good to meet people from my fraternity and then talk films'

The list of celebrities flying to US to meet Rishi Kapoor just got bigger. The actor who is recovering from the cancer treatment was visited by director Rajkumar Hirani recently. The actor took to his Twitter handle to post a picture with the 'Sanju' director. He wrote: "Thank you Raju Hirani for staying with us for so long. Good to meet people from my fraternity and then talk films."

Rishi Kapoor minutes later also posted a picture with Anil Ambani along with wife Tina. He wrote: "How lovely to see my old friends, Tina and Anil. Many congratulations on Anshul’s graduation 👨‍🎓 Thank you both. Neetu missing in picture as she was preparing my dinner." [sic]

In the past, celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Aamir Khan, Mukesh and Nita Ambani, Shah Rukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Karan Johar and many others have visited Rishi.

Coming back to Rajkumar Hirani who directed Ranbir Kapoor in the mega hit 'Sanju' has had an emotional story with Rishi Kapoor in the past. Post Sanju's release, Rishi in an interview revealed, "Compliments have been pouring in for Ranbir from varied quarters. I was at the lounge at Dubai airport en route to Mumbai from Mauritius when a bunch of passengers, who had caught the film overseas, walked up to me and showered praises on my son. I got to see the movie only four days after the release because I was away. And, I must say that despite everything I had heard, I was pleasantly surprised by Ranbir’s performance as Sanjay Dutt. It was subtle, sincere and so accurate. I salute Rajkumar Hirani, who is one of my favourite filmmakers. When Munnabhai MBBS released, I was one of the first to go to his home in Bandra East to compliment him. From that time on, I’ve always been a huge fan of the man. Besides Ranbir, I was impressed with Paresh Rawal and Vicky Kaushal. I was actually looking to speak to Vicky, but I am told he is in Serbia.”
