Bollywood's veteran Rishi Kapoor might not know how to use the 140 characters to save his life but the actor sure knows how to stir a controversy in Twitterverse. As the 'Amar Akhbar Anthony' actor celebrates his 66th birthday today, here's taking a walk down the memory lane with his 5 outrageous tweets that got the best of him:

Ranbir's Rishta

Just like any parent even celebrities wish to get their offsprings married sooner than later. Rishi Kapoor is no different. The actor taking to his Twitter handle shared a picture of Ranbir and his best friend Ayan Mukerji looking adorable at Ambani's bash. "Best friends! How about you both getting married now? High time," says the tweet. While the duo is working on 'Brahmastra' also starring Alia Bhatt, Rishi is quite concerned with his son's marriage. Not to forget the actor had revealed that he's dating his co-star Alia in a recent interview.

Birthday Blunder

In a tweet that was directed at Twinkle Khanna, Rishi Kapoor left netizens cringing.  He said, "Happy birthday dear one: You were in your mum's tummy when I was serenading her in Bobby 'Aksar Koi Ladka' in 1973 lol." This led on to a series of tweets claiming Twinkle as the illegitimate child further adding fuel to the reported affair between Rajesh Khanna-Dimple Kapadia back in the 70s.

Of Mesh Bags and Flower Vases

Rishi Kapoor mocked popular retail brand for their latest collection of ripped clothes. If that wasn't enough, the '102 Not Out' actor also went ahead to compare Beyonce's photoshoot with a flower vase. Why may you ask? Well, simply because the vase matched her dress and the flowers matched her floral hat.

Digging Out Dirt

In a shocking incident back in 2016, Rishi Kapoor posted a tweet that not only raised eyebrows but also resulted in trolling. Referring to the Presidential election held in the United States of America,  Rishi shared a meme that irked many Twitteratis in the process. The meme had Democratic party nominee Hilary Clinton coughing against the mic with a text that read, "Is this right Monika?" Hinting at the alleged infamous affair of her husband and former US President Bill Clinton with his White House intern Monika Lewinsky.

 Joke Gone Wrong

While Ranbir Kapoor tries to play it cool with the furrow his father creates on social media, Rishi doesn't blink twice before stirring a fresh controversy. While the entire nation was busy cheering the Indian women's cricket team playing at the World Cup finals at Lord's Stadium, Rishi shared a Tweet that wrecked havoc on social media. Taking to his Twitter handle, he shared a picture of former Cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly taking his shirt off to celebrate the 2002 win saying, "Waiting for a repeat of Sourav Ganguly's act on the balcony of The Lords Ground, London, when India beat England 2002 NatWest series final! YO."

The 'Chandni' actor has time and again come under the radar for his outrageous tweets. On the work front, his latest film 'Mulk' has garnered interesting reviews and good word of mouth.
