On Monday, August 12, Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh shared a video on social media where women from Sangli, Maharashtra ‬were seen tying Rakhis to the soldiers.

With Raksha Bandhan on August 15, Indians are gearing up for a double celebration. Ahead of the same, on Monday, August 12, Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh shared a video on social media where women from Sangli, Maharashtra ‬were seen tying Rakhis to the soldiers. The actor who seemed to be very much impressed by the act, shared the video on Instagram and expressed his gratitude to the armed forces and hailed Indian culture.

Riteish's 'Jai Hind' message has got a huge shout-out from the netizens who came out to praise the Indian Army. The actor who is the son of the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra late Vilasrao Deshmukh is known for his work in Hindi and Marathi cinema.  

Devendra Fadnavis thanks Riteish Deshmukh for his contribution to CM's Relief Fund 

Meanwhile, Amidst the flood situation in Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis thanked Riteish Deshmukh and his wife Genelia D'Souza for their contribution to the relief fund. In a recent Twitter post, he revealed that Riteish has donated Rs. 25 lakh towards CM Relief Fund for Maharashtra Floods.  Sharing the post, the actor further stated that they met our the CM this morning and made a humble contribution towards the CM Relief Fund through ‘Desh Foundation’.  

What 's next for Riteish Deshmukh

Meanwhile, on the work front, Riteish Deshmukh will be seen sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar in upcoming comedy-drama 'Housefull 4'. The film which is the fourth installment of the franchise starring the actors also features Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, and Rana Daggubati in the lead. Revolving around the theme of reincarnation, the film reportedly follows a non-linear narrative. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is all set to hit the theaters on October 26, 2019.
