Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar’s Saand Ki Aankh is a sports drama based on real events. The story revolves around the lives of Prakashi and Chandro Tomar, two real-life sharpshooters. The movie made 11.68 crores during its opening week. It also managed to collect 1.69 crores and 2.32 crores on Saturday and Sunday respectively. The total box office as of now is a whopping 17.17 crores. Currently, the movie is doing well at the box office. However, according to trade analysts, the movie might face competition from the upcoming movies Bala, Satellite Shankar, and Marjaavan. 

Saand Ki Aankh is tax-free in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi

Saand Ki Aankh witnessed growth during the second weekend after its release. However, according to Taran Adarsh, the movie needs to maintain the pace on the weekdays as there are several films releasing. This month is perhaps a treat for the movie-goers. Saand Ki Aankh has been declared tax-free in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi. Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, announced that the film would be made tax-free in the city so that the message should reach out to people of every age, gender & background.

Saand ki Aankh tells the story of two real-life sharpshooters Prakashi and Chandro Tomar. The location is set in Uttar Pradesh. The movie was originally titled Womaniya but was changed to Saand Ki Aankh due to a title rights dispute. Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu also bonded very well during the making of the film. Prior to the film's release, there was a debate upon the age of the actors as they are young. But recently, Anupam Kher defended Saand Ki Aankh and its lead actors by saying that even he had to portray an older character in his debut film Saaransh.
