Saif Ali Khan reveals how he earned the Pataudi Palace back

Saif Ali Khan belongs to a Nawab family. Even though he belongs to a previously royal family, he reportedly had to earn back the family's royal Pataudi Palace.

Saif Ali Khan reportedly owns a massive palace in Pataudi appropriately named the Pataudi Palace. Though he was born and brought up in Mumbai, his family belonged to the princely state of Pataudi in Haryana. Recently while speaking to a news daily, Saif Ali Khan opened up about how he had to earn back their ancestral Pataudi Palace.

How Saif Ali Khan earned back the Pataudi Palace

Saif's father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was a well known Indian cricketer. After his death in 2011, the palace was rented to the Neemrana hotel chain. The hotel was run by Aman Nath and Francis Wacziarg, who reportedly shared a cordial relationship with Saif Ali Khan. Francis had told Saif that if he ever wished to get the palace back, he could let him know. After Francis' death, Saif went back to the owner of the hotel chain and asked to get back the palace.

A conference was held where they reportedly told Saif that he can have the palace back but he'll have to give the hotel chain a substantial amount of money. Saif, while speaking to the news daily, did not reveal the actual amount he paid to acquire the palace. He stated that he consequently worked to earn the money. The 49-year-old actor also added that the house he was supposed to inherit has been earned back through the films he has worked on.

On the work front

Saif Ali Khan will next be seen opposite Tabu and Alaia Furniturewala in Jawaani Jaaneman. The film is scheduled to release in early 2020. Besides this, Saif will also be seen playing a negative role in the historical period drama film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. The film will feature Ajay Devgn in the lead role and will release on January 10, 2020.
