Saif Ali Khan is known for his versatile choices in films. The actor evidently does not have the image of a mainstream superstar which allows him to experiment with the kind of roles he chooses. The actor reportedly has a process of transforming into the characters he portrays in films. In his latest film Laal Kaptaan, the actor will be seen playing the role of a Naga Sadhu. Go Goa Gone
Saif Ali Khan was seen with blonde hair and a Russian accent in the film. Saif essayed the role of Boris, a Delhi outcast who pretends to be a Russian. The film was a comedic take on the concept of a zombie apocalypse where Saif's character is a zombie slayer. Saif's comedic portrayal of a pretending Russian was applauded by the audience and critics alike.

Sacred Games
Saif Ali Khan portrayed the role of Inspector Sartaj Singh in the Netflix special series Sacred Games. The actor plays a worn-out cop who struggles to enfold the secret his city is hiding. Sacred Games evidently turned out to be a gamechanger for Saif Ali Khan. Saif also had to tap into the depth of the character he plays in the series. At one point of the show, his character contemplates suicide, the experience of playing that portion of the series reportedly put Saif Ali Khan in distress.

Omkara
Omkara released back in 2006. Saif Ali Khan essayed the role of Ishwar 'Langda' Tyagi. He portrayed the role of a villain in the film which wasn't done by him before the film. His amazing transformation in the film and crisp performance earned him the Best Villain Award at the Filmfare Awards back in 2007. The film many awards including major National Awards.
