Saif Ali Khan's Black Knight Films To Collaborate With Jay Shewakramani For 'Jawani Janeman'

 Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has launched his new banner and his first venture will be in collaboration with Jay Shewakramani's Northern Lights Films. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to announce the collaboration and also revealed the name of their first movie. Sharing a picture of Saif Ali Khan and Jay Shewakramani, he wrote, "IT'S OFFICIAL... Saif Ali Khan's Black Knight Films and Jay Shewakramani's Northern Lights Films join hands for their first venture together... Titled #JawaniJaneman... Directed by Nitin Kakkar... Starts 2019."

Nine years ago, Saif Ali Khan had first opened his production house, 'Illuminati' Films, along with Dinesh Vijan and together they had produced successful films like 'Love Aaj Kal' (2009), 'Cocktail' (2012) and 'Go Goa Gone' (2013). Their last film together was 'Happy Ending' in 2014, post which Dinesh Vijan opened his individual banner, Maddock films. Since then it was reported that the 'Salaam Namaste' actor, too is planning to start his own production house. For his first film, titled 'Jawani Janeman', Saf Ali Khan will be collaborating with his longtime friend Jay Shewakramani. It is reported that the team is hunting for a fresh face for the female lead. The film will be directed by Nitin Kakkar of 'Filmistaan' fame.

On the work front, Saif Ali Khan who was last seen in the Netflix original series 'Sacred Games' and will next be seen in the film 'Baazaar' which is slated to release in October.  The film is helmed by Gauravv K Chawla, presented by Viacom 18 Motion pictures and KYTA Productions and produced by Emmay Entertainment. Reportedly, this is the first Indian film based on the rollercoaster drama of life and stock markets. The film went on floors in May 2017 and was initially slated to release in December 2017. However, the film got delayed due to unknown reasons.
