With Bollywood films constantly coming under the scanner of various groups, seems like Salman Khan wants to keep his projects away from any form of negative publicity. His upcoming production venture ‘Loveratri’ found itself in the midst of a controversy recently over the film’s title. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) were miffed with the makers of the Aayush Sharma, Warina Hussain starrer for allegedly distorting the meaning of the festival of Navaratri.
After Muzzafarpur Court ordered to file FIR against Salman Khan and 7 other actors for allegedly hurting the sentiments of a certain community by naming their film 'Loveratri'. The makers’ efforts to convince the group that the film has been titled ‘Loveratri’ since it is set against the backdrop of the festival, seem to have proved futile. Salman Khan has now shared a poster of the film with its new title, ‘Loveyatri’. The actor tweeted, “This is not a spelling mistake... #loveyatri #lovetakesover... @SKFilmsOfficial @aaysharma @Warina_Hussain @abhiraj21288 @TSeries.”

During the launch of ‘Bigg Boss’ season 12, talking about the film’s title, Salman had said, "Some people, I don't know who they are, have some problem with the title of the film. It is a beautiful title. There is nothing more beautiful than love, so it is called Loveratri. It is not demeaning any culture. Our prime minister is from that culture. So, when you play a character like I played a Sardar in a film or I played a Haryanvi in Sultan, I do it with a lot of respect. We are making the film with Navaratri in the backdrop. We have made this beautiful film celebrating the music, colour, love and the fun of the festive season. We don't need any publicity like that. Once the film is released those people will know there is nothing."
Meanwhile, the trailer of ‘Loveyatri’ which stars Warina Hussain opposite Sharma has an out-and-out Navratri feel in the backdrop of a heart touching love saga. The trailer establishes Aayush Sharma's character as a Gujarati Garba teacher from Baroda who falls in love with a non-residential Indian girl played by Warina Hussain. 'Loveyatri', directed by Abhiraj Minawala and written by Naren Bhatt is slated to release on October 5.
