Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi put out an obnoxious and distasteful tweet on his handle that featured Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman Khan and himself due to which he received a huge backlash from various celebrities. Corresponding Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's alleged relationships into three electoral category- Oberoi shared the actress' picture with Salman Khan as 'Opinion poll', her picture with himself as 'Exit Poll' and lastly with her husband and daughter Aaradhya Bachchan as 'Result'

And now, in a recent interview with a leading media publication, Salman Khan was asked to react to the distasteful meme. Dodging the question, he claimed that he doesn't know anything regarding it and has no idea about what spiraled down.

After facing backlash from netizens and the film fraternity, the actor after a day apologised for the derogatory tweet. "Sometimes what appears to be funny and harmless at first glance to one, may not be so to others. I have spent the last 10 years empowering more than 2000 underprivileged girls, I can't even think of being disrespectful to any woman ever. Even if one woman is offended by my reply to the meme, it calls for remedial action. Apologies🙏🏻 tweet deleted.", he wrote. 

Due to the debacle, the actor also received death threats and so was given police protection for a couple of days.
