Gone are the days when actors used to just act. The stars of today have mastered the art of capitalising on their brand value and are spreading their wings. From brand endorsements to film production, stars don’t leave the opportunity to not just earn money, but also support ventures they love and believe in. Salman Khan is no different. The actor has launched his film production house, a charitable organisation, a lifestyle brand and has even ventured into Television recently. Now, reportedly the ‘Dabangg’ star will be launching his TV channel and coming up with a new brand Being Children.
According to latest reports, the 53-year-old is in the process of acquiring content for the TV channel he plans to launch. Salman has hired a person who’s handling the deals associated with it.
While the actor’s production house Salman Khan Films has backed movies like ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, ‘Tubelight’ and ‘Notebook’, he entered TV recently with his brand SKTV backing ‘The Kapil Sharma Show.’
Latest buzz suggests that the work towards more TV shows from his banner are already underway. If the formalities towards acquiring a channel work out, the new shows will launch on the new channel and even ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ would shift from Sony to the new platform.
Not just that, speculation is rife that the ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ star is keen to move beyond entertainment industry as well and his brand Being Human is likely to expand with a brand called Being Children. Even this venture is in the initial stages and likely to feature numerous interesting things for the younger ones. It’d be interesting to see when the official announcements on it take place.
