Salman Khan gives Ranveer Singh top billing, mentions him in the same league as SRK, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar

Bollywood is an industry where not just ups and downs, but even on-off relationships are prevalent. Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh were reportedly not on great terms after the former had slammed the ‘Padmaavat’ star for dancing in a theatre screening ‘Sultan.’ But now it seems all is well and the ‘Bharat’ star has now put him in the same league as Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar.

Bollywood is an industry where not just ups and downs, but even on-off relationships are prevalent. The most popular couples split and biggest stars fight, but often patch up and that seems to have happened between Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh as well. The duo was reportedly not on great terms after the former had slammed the ‘Padmaavat’ star for dancing in a theatre screening ‘Sultan.’ But now it seems all is well and the ‘Bharat’ star has now put him in the same league as Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar.

Salman is currently is launching his third pair of newcomers, Pranutan Bahl-Zaheer Iqbal with ‘Notebook’ after Aayush Sharma-Warina Hussain and Sooraj Pancholi-Athiya Shetty in recent years. In a recent interview, the ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ star said that he doesn’t support everyone who approaches him for a launch in Bollywood.

The 53-year-old said he decides to back them only when he and the persons associated to him think the newcomer has potential. He added that not everyone is Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh.

The so-called hierarchy in Bollywood usually stars with the Khans and Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn, who’ve been around for over two decades. Ranveer, Ranbir Kapoor and Varun Dhawan and even Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor, who had debuted earlier, are often considered in the younger generation of superstars. That’s the reason Salman mentioning Ranveer in the same breath as the veterans is a big thing, though not surprising because he has delivered three hits in a row, ‘Padmaavat’, ‘Simmba’ and ‘Gully Boy.’

As far as Ranveer-Salman's equation is considered, the latter had fumed and said he wants to 'break a chair' on the former for 'disturbing' audiences at a screening of ‘Sultan’ in Paris. When Ranveer was asked about it at another event, he too had avoided it. Later, there were reports that the duo was being considered for ‘Dhoom 4’ but the pairing was unlikely to work together because of their equation. Salman had also taken a ‘dig’ at his colourful dressing style at the launch of ‘Bigg Boss’ by asking someone if he was inspired by Ranveer.

However, things seem to be on the mend on the duo after Ranveer appeared on 'Bigg Boss' recently for 'Simmba' promotions.

At the recent wedding of Akash Ambani-Shloka Mehta, the duo was seen sharing a hug in a montage video as well. The latest comment just confirms it.
