Salman Khan treated his fans with the teaser of 'Bharat' on India's 72nd Independence Day, on Wednesday, August 15. So far, director Ali Abbas Zafar has been giving glimpses of the film through pictures and videos that he posts on his social media handles. On Independence Day, the director-actor duo shared the first official teaser of their much-awaited film 'Bharat'.
The 45 seconds video heavy on graphics has Salman Khan reciting a dialogue, "Baauji kehte the kuch rishte zameen se hote hai aur kuch khoon se... mere paas dono the.” Salman Khan tweeted, "Kuch Rishte Zameen se hote hai, Aur kuch Khoon se.. The team 'Bharat' has already wrapped up the first schedule of the film in Mumbai and has headed off to Malta for its second schedule. 'Bharat' that spans over 6 decades will see Salman Khan donning different looks relating to the different era's. Salman will reportedly be seen playing a daredevil stunt motorcyclist, while Disha Patani playing a trapeze artist might be seen as Salman's love interest.
'Bharat' recently grabbed headlines after its lead actress Priyanka Chopra opted out of the film who was supposed to make her comeback to Bollywood with 'Bharat'. Priyanka's exit gave way to the rumours of Priyanka's engagement to her alleged boyfriend American singer Nick Jonas after Ali Abbas Zafar tweeted, "Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of @Bharat_TheFilm & and the reason is very very special, she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her ... And before the speculations for the leading lady for the film started to fuel up, 'Bharat' team found their replacement for Priyanka in 'Tiger Zinda Hai' co-star Katrina Kaif. And once again Zafar took to Twitter to share the news and tweeted, "Katrina kaif plays Bharat’s life line in @Bharat_TheFilm. Looking forward to this 3 collaboration buddy after MBKD and TZH...."
Salman Khan too welcomed Katrina on board and tweeted, "Ek sundar aur shusheel ladki jiska Naam hai Katrina Kaif .... Swagat hai aapka #Bharat ki zindagi mein ..."
The star cast of 'Bharat' also includes 'Baaghi 2' actress Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Nora Fatehi. The film that has been in news for a long time is slated to hit the silver screens around Eid 2019.
