As per media reports, 'Bharat' is an official adaptation of Korean film 'An Ode To My Father'. Set in the backdrop of Indian Independence, the film portrays the journey of a man named 'Bharat', played by Salman, in parallel with the journey of the country towards independence. With a tagline that reads: 'the journey of a man and a country together', the film features the actor in five different looks according to his age and profession as it follows his life from 1964 to 2010.
Director Ali Abbas Zafar had previously revealed that it is set in the backdrop of partition and the consequent refugee camps and said that it will feature one of the most traumatic times that the state has faced and will span from 1960s to 1990s, after which it will move to current times. It has a tagline that reads: 'Journey of a man and a nation together'. The film is backed by Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Salman Khan.
On the other hand, 'X-Men: Dark Phoenix' depicts the journey of the powerful mutant Jean Grey, who becomes the possessor of immense powers after a space mission goes wrong. It stars the 'GOT' actress Sophie Turner as the supremely powerful mutant who unleashes her Phoenix powers after being hit by a solar flare during a space mission with her fellow X-men.
The film will also feature Jennifer Lawrence, returning as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops and Evan Peters as Quicksilver. Written and directed by Simon Kinberg who also served as the scriptwriter for the 2006's 'X-Men: The Last Stand', the film will hit the screens on June 5.
