Producer Sandip Ssingh in an interview to a daily tabloid was asked why he chose to cast Vivek Oberoi as a lead actor for his film.
To this, he said that Vivek Oberoi according to him is one of the finest actors who has delivered hits in Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil for over 18 years. He was a superstar when he featured in films like 'Saathiya' or 'Company' but unfortunately destiny didn't side with him but he considers Vivek to be a perfectionist, said Ssingh.
He further revealed that Vivek Oberoi finished shooting for the film in 38 days and was never late to the sets. He said that he used to only sip on liquids with a straw because it took him seven hours to get the prosthetics makeup right.
Ssingh concluded by saying that Vivek 'was my spotboy, actor, director and writer'. But how a writer? Ssingh said that Vivek has contributed and worked on the screenplay and dialogues with Aniruddh Chawla and Harsh Limbachiyaa.
The film, titled "PM Narendra Modi" and directed by Omung Kumar, had been criticised by the opposition parties, who claim that the biopic could give undue advantage to the BJP in the polls as it will arrive in theatres before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
