After giving back to back hits such as 'Bajirao Mastani' and 'Padmaavat', seems that veteran filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is back with a bang! His new film 'Malaal' went on floors on Saturday, September 15. The film is said to be a romantic one and is helmed by award-winning Marathi film director, Mangesh. Just like Sanjay Leela Bhansali introduced Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor in 'Saawariya', he is all set to launch Javed Jaffrey's son Mizan and Bela Sehgal's daughter Sharmin Segal.

The last film helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali was 'Padmaavat' that starred Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in pivotal roles. Although there was quite a bit of controversy revolving around the film before its release, it fared quite well and was liked by the audience. Before that, Bhansali helmed  'Bajirao Mastani' starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra. Priyanka was seen playing the role of Bajirao's wife Kashibai.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is considered as one of the most successful filmmakers of Bollywood. He has been awarded prestigious awards such as National Film Awards, Filmfare Awards, and a Padma Shri. His creations have been lauded by many viewers, and his journey started as an assistant to Vidhu Vinod Chopra. From his debut in  ‘Khamoshi: The Musical,’ to ‘Padmaavat,’ all of his films have been widely appreciated and have struck a chord with the viewers. He was also known to have introduced several powerful characters in his films, that have been later considered as a trademark. 

One is well aware of the director's latest success 'Padmaavat'. The character of Alauddin Khilji, that was played by Ranveer Singh has been widely appreciated by the audience. Reportedly, Ranveer was so caught up under Bhansali's direction, that he had a hard time coming back to reality. And, now finally the filmmaker is back with a romantic film 'Malaal' and one can say that the fans cannot wait for the magic that Bhansali will create at the box office.
