The makers of 'Hindi Medium' recently announced the sequel to the film, according to reports, will revolve around the woes of university education. Sara will reportedly play the grown-up version of Irrfan Khan's onscreen daughter in the sequel played by child artist Dishita Sehgal in 'Hindi Medium'. The film will go on floors in August and while Irrfan will reprise his role as the Delhi based businessman Raj Batra, Pakistani actress Saba Qamar who played his wife will not be a part of the sequel.
According to media reports, the makers of the film are keen to cast Sara Ali Khan but nothing is concrete yet. The script has just been completed and casting for the film will begin soon. The film which will be produced by Dinesh Vijan and T-series will be a fresh take on the Indian educational system with reference to the first film.
Interestingly Sara's mother actress Amrita Singh was also a part of 'Hindi Medium', Amrita played the role of the principal of the English medium Delhi Grammar School in the original.
Meanwhile, Sara's Bollywood debut is much-awaited with 'Kedarnath' is going through a rough patch, owing to director Abhishek Kapoor's financial interference and lack of transparency, KriArj Entertainment and T-Series parted ways with Abhishek. The film also stars Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead.
