Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit recreates late actress Madhubala’s iconic look from 'Mughal-E-Azam' on her 86th birth anniversary.

It's the 86th birth anniversary of legendary Bollywood actress Madhubala. On the occasion of the same, Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit paid tribute to the 'Marilyn Monroe of Bollywood'. The 51-year-old diva penned an emotional note remembering the late actress and reminisced the time when she re-created one of Madhubala’s iconic performances.

She took to social media and shared and a photograph of her recreating Madhubala’s iconic look from 'Mughal-E-Azam'. Shared how the evergreen actor won her heart ever since she was a little girl, Madhuri wrote, "A smile that won millions of hearts! #Madhubala ji's mystical on-screen presence won my heart ever since I was a little girl. It was an honour to re-create one of her iconic performances and continue her glorious legacy. Remembering the eternal shining star on her birthday."

Madhubala whose original name was Mumtaz Jehan Begum Dehlavi was born in Delhi on this day in 1933. She was shifted to Mumbai at a very young age where she was raised and started her acting career. She made her Bollywood debut as a child star at the age of 9 as Baby Mumtaz. Soon she made her place as the leading lady on screen with her graceful acting skills. Besides beauty, she was remarkable for her sensitive portrayal of women in films. She has worked in films of different genre including comedies, dramas, and rom-coms. She is known for her astonishing performance in films like 'Mahal', 'Mughal-e-Azam', 'Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi', 'Barsaat Ki Raat', etc. among others.
