Shah Rukh Khan took to social media to share a picture of his son AbRam worshipping an idol of Lord Ganesh. Shortly after the picture was shared, the comments section was flooded with despicable comments by netizens who lashed out at the actor for worshipping a Hindu deity. While some took a dig at the actor, the wiser few imparted words of wisdom as they stood up against unruly trolls.

Bollywood is buzzing with excitement with the Ganesh Chaturthi festival on in-full swing. As the feeling of fervour and euphoria take over our favourite Bollywood celebrities, Shah Rukh Khan too joined in the festivities. The actor took to social media to share a picture of his son AbRam worshipping an idol of Lord Ganesh and captioned it saying, “Our Ganpati ‘Pappa’ is home, as the lil one calls him.” However, what was a rather innocent post by Shah Rukh, soon became a topic of debate among netizens. Shortly after the picture was shared, the comments section was flooded with despicable comments by netizens, who lashed out at the actor for worshipping a Hindu deity. Shah Rukh Khan, who always stood up for equality and secularism, had also taken to social media to post pictures and videos on the occasion of Janmashtami. The actor seems to be instilling the same values in is children and celebrated the festival at his Mumbai home ‘Mannat’ along with wife Gauri Khan and son AbRam Khan. The actor was seen breaking the handi along with his little one.  He had posted, “Happy Janmashtami to everyone. May the msg of love and happiness spread far and wide today and forever.”

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in Anand L. Rai’s ‘Zero’. The film, which also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, has been garnering immense audience interest ever since it was revealed that Shah Rukh will play a dwarf in the film. ‘Zero’, which features Salman Khan in a cameo, is slated for a release on December 21, 2018. The trailer of the film will be unveiled on Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday which is on November 2. The makers had released a teaser of 'Zero' featuring Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan on Eid this year. Katrina’s look from the film was shared by Shah Rukh as he posted, “There are so many lovely pictures of her, but this one speaks to me beyond my friends beauty....hope u all also give it love. @katrinakaif”.”
