Shah Rukh Khan spills beans about his most expensive purchase, here's what it is

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most successful stars of all times and sure does live life king size. Although the actor owns quite a few expensive things, the 53-year-old while speaking at a radio show revealed that his expensive purchase so far has been his sea-facing Bandra home Mannat. 

Talking about his bungalow in Mumbai, which is currently wroth Rs 200 crore (approximately), Shah Rukh  said, “I am from Delhi and Delhiites have the concept of living in a kothi (bungalow). In Mumbai, the concept is to live in apartments, but in Delhi, even if one is not well off, they still own a small bungalow.”

“When I came to Mumbai, I was already married and was living in a small apartment with my wife Gauri. My mother-in-law would keep saying, ‘You live in such a small house.’ Eventually, when I saw Mannat, it felt like that Delhi wala kothi and so I bought it and that was the most expensive thing I bought,” he added.

The actor was previously named India’s 13th highest-earning celebrity by Forbes in 2018, because of his Rs 56 crore earnings between October 1, 2017, and September 30, 2018.

On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in 'Zero' alongside Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.

The film was one of the most anticipated films this year. However, the hype failed to translate at the ticket window after the film received mixed reviews on opening day. As a result, the subsequent box office collections have also taken a hit and the fate of the film remains to be seen.

Directed by Aanand L Rai, 'Zero' has a cameo from Salman Khan and many other B-town celebs.
