Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is known for his witty remarks and so when a hotel greeted him with a plate full of macaroons and pastries made especially just for him, he hit out a tweet which one can say was quite charming.

Sharing a picture of his goodies, Shah Rukh Khan wrote, "Thank u Kolkata & thx ITC Sonar for years of hospitality. I would eat the goodies but that would be like ‘eating my own words.’ But love them all the same."

Here's the tweet:

The actor is currently touring the country with his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He was recently in Chennai for a match, and the buzz is that he met Tamil director Atlee for a Hindi remake of the hit Tamil film 'Mersal'.

On the professional front, the actor was last seen in 'Zero' along with Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif and although the film crossed Rs 100 crore at the box office, it failed to strike a chord with the audience and critics, thus gaining mixed reviews.

However, as a producer the actor has flourished as his latest production, 'Badla' starring Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu did amazingly well at the box office and gained good reviews from the audience and the critics.
