As their films near its release date, actors, by their own admission are often anxious. After all months and sometimes years of their hard work, sweat, toil will be out for the world to see. Irrespective of their intuition about whether the film will be accepted or panned by fans and critics, nerves before their film’s release is a given. Shahid Kapoor, however, seems to be rather ecstatic as his film ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ inches closer to its release.
‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ is all set for a release on September 21 and Shahid Kapoor certainly cannot contain his excitement. And in case you have your doubts about the actor’s zeal before his film hit theatres, take a look at his series of Instagram stories. Shahid shared grabs from the peppy track titled ‘Hard Hard’ from ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’. The song is high on the energy quotient with Shahid and Shraddha Kapoor at their vibrant best.
And just when you thought Shahid was finally sober….
The actor unleashed his “ANDAR KE FEELS” (inner feelings) once again:
'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' is directed by Shree Narayan Singh of 'Toilet Ek Prem Katha' fame. The film, a comedy-drama, deals with a social issue and highlights the contrast between long hours of power cuts and the ironical high electricity bills which burn a hole in the common man’s pocket. The story of the film follows the account of a man's battle against control dispersion organisations. 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' was earlier slated for a release on September 14, however, due to a number of reasons including a conflict with Prernaa Arora and her production company KriArj Entertainment and accusations of copyright infringement in addition to a legal battle with Vashu Bhagnani, the film's release date was postponed to September 21, 2018. Shahid Kapoor had taken to Twitter to make the announcement. The actor in his tweet said, "BATTI GUL METER CHALU releases on 21st September".
The release date of 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' was earlier postponed from August 31 to September 14. As per reports, the step was taken in order to reportedly avoid a clash with the Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer 'Stree'. 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' would have then clashed with Kajol's 'Helicopter Eela' had its release date not been deferred once again.
