Shahid Kapoor Says Ishaan Khatter Should Learn From The Actor's Mistakes

After basking in the success of his latest release 'Padmaavat', Shahid Kapoor is currently on a promotional spree for his upcoming film 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'.The film also stars Shraddha Kapoor, Divyendu Sharma, and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles and focuses on the problems of electricity in rural areas and small villages. On the personal front, Shahid has multiple reasons to celebrate as he and wife Mira Rajput welcomed a baby boy on September 5. On the other hand, Shahid's brother Ishaan also garnered a positive response for his last release 'Dhadak' opposite Janhvi Kapoor.

Shahid Kapoor has often expressed his fondness for Ishaan Khatter and the duo share a mutual admiration for each other. As per reports, when Shahid was asked whether he will stay involved in his brother's career, the 'Haider' actor said that he feels that Ishaan is destined to be in films. Shahid further added that he hopes Ishaan has done his homework before entering the film industry and will get to learn so much over the years. He further went on to reveal that he has babysat Ishaan and has paternal feelings towards him. Shahid actor said that Ishaan has seen him make mistakes as an actor and hopes that he learns from those mistakes. Furthermore, Shahid feels that his brother is extremely talented and his drive and passion reminds him of the initial days of his own career.

While Shahid has created a niche for himself in the industry, Ishaan, who is two films old, is still picking up the pace in the industry. During the promotions of Ishaan's 'Dhadak' when the actor was asked who is his idol, he responded saying that it is his brother Shahid. He said,

"I used to copy him (Shahid) a lot as a kid. I think it's something in the genes. Both of us have inherited dance from our mother ) and I have idolized him as a dancer since childhood."

On the work front,  Shahid will next be seen in 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' which is directed by Shree Narayan Singh who earlier helmed the Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer 'Toilet Ek Prem Katha' .'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'  is slated to release on September 21, 2018. Shahid will also star in the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit film 'Arjun Reddy' and the 'Kaminey' star is currently gearing up for the role.
