'Shameful, shocking, reprehensible': Rishi Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Hrithik Roshan, and other Bollywood celebrities condemn Pulwama Terror Attack

Celebrities from the film industry are furious and vented their anger out on social media after a number of soldiers of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were martyred in the terrorist attack that took place in Jammu Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.

Bollywood celebrities are furious and vented their anger out on social media after a number of soldiers of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were martyred in the terrorist attack that took place in Jammu Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday. As per PTI, 40 CRPF Jawans lost their lives and many suffered severe injuries in the deadliest terror attack on security forces in a decade. As per CRPF sources, the 54 Battalion of CRPF was attacked with an IED blast. The attack was targeted at a CRPF convey of nearly 70 vehicles that were heading from Jammu back to Srinagar.

Terrorists attacked a vehicle from the convoy when it was passing through the Pulwama district on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway. There was 35 personnel aboard the vehicle that was attacked and 100 kg of explosive was used in IED blast, CRPF sources informed. Pakistan based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed has claimed responsibility for the terror attack in a text message to Kashmiri News Agency GNS.

Several Bollywood actors including Rishi Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Madhuri Dixit, Anushka Sharma, Shahid Kapoor, and others condemned the attack. They took to social media to convey their condolences to the families of our martyred solderers and demanded justice for them suggesting the need to hit back at the perpetrators.

Previously, A number of Bollywood celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Priyanka Chopra, Anupam Kher, and Preity Zinta had paid tribute to our martyr soldiers.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation and assured that people behind the attack will be punished. In fact, the attack was strongly condemned across the globe. The White House has asked Pakistan to immediately end being a "support" and "safe haven" to all terror groups as it condemned the Pulwama terrorist attack.
