Bollywood actor Salman Khan recently opened up about Priyanka Chopra's exit from 'Bharat'. For the uninitiated, the actress was originally cast opposite Salman but opted out because she was tying the knot with singer-songwriter Nick Jonas. Soon after that, Katrina Kaif was brought in as her replacement. In an interview, Salman thanked Priyanka for once again leaving the film, so that Katrina could come on board.

He went to say that Chopra chose USA in the 'nick' of time over 'Bharat'. He then said, "People usually would lave their husbands for such a big film, but she chose her marriage, so hats-off". 'Bharat' which stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Nora Fatehi in pivotal roles, is all set to hit the theatres on Eid in 2019. While major details about the big film have been kept under the wraps, media reports suggest that it is an official adaptation of Korean film 'An Ode To My Father'.

Set in the backdrop of Indian Independence, the film portrays the journey of a man named 'Bharat', played by Salman, in parallel with the journey of the country towards independence. With a tagline that reads: 'the journey of a man and a country together', the film features the actor in five different looks according to his age and profession as it follows his life from 1964 to 2010.
