Shilpa Shetty And Husband Raj Kundra Bid Adieu To Lord Ganesha

On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, a lot of celebrities brought home the idol of Lord Ganesha and so did Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. The actress bought home an eco-friendly Ganpati idol along with her husband Raj Kundra on the first day with enthusiasm and bid adieu to Lord Ganesha by performing Visarjan, a ritual where the idol is immersed in water.

Shilpa who often uploads a lot of fitness videos and pictures and keeps her fans updated about what she is up to shared a video of herself dancing and playing the dhol before the immersion along with her husband Raj right after she performed a Puja at her residence. The Puja was attended by the couple's family members, Shilpa Shetty's sister Shamita and some close friends. The actress looked elegant in a pink sari paired with a white floral blouse as she danced while Kundra sported a traditional outfit.

Shilpa Shetty posted pictures and videos on the occasion while she wrote an emotional message about the visarjan stating how she would miss the festival. The actress took to Instagram and said, "This Year nothing gives me more joy than to welcome and now bid adieu to our #ecofriendlyGanpati , knowing that he will bless us and become one with the earth now , therefore continuing to bless us in the purest way possible. This is the first time we immersed him in our front yard despite living right by the beach taking cognisance of the pollution in our environment . Time to respect #motherearth..With the blessings of #Ganpati #BeTheChange#spiritualnotreligious #BackToBasics#beresponsible."
