Shraddha Kapoor Diagnosed With Dengue, Takes Break From Saina Nehwal Biopic

Actress Shraddha Kapoor who is currently shooting for the Saina Nehwal biopic has been diagnosed with dengue and so has taken a break from the shoot

Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor had recently revealed the first look from her upcoming film, where she is playing the role of Saina Nehwal. Titled, 'Saina' , the film is a biopic on the life of ace Badminton player and Olympic bronze medal winner Saina Nehwal.

  However, the shooting of the film had to be stalled, after the 'Ek Villain' actress was diagnosed with dengue. Reportedly, the actress has taken a break from the biopic until she recovers completely. Reportedly, the actress had started feeling unwell a few days after the film went on floors. Kapoor stopped shooting from septemebr 27, after the medical test results detected dengue.She is expected to return on the sets in a few days. It is reported that the director has gone ahead to shootthe childhood days of Saina Nehwal, where Shraddha Kapoor is not required. 

Shraddha Kapoor had earlier in the day taken to Instagram and updated about her health.

Reportedly, the producer Bhushan Kumar said that Kapoor has a busy schedule for months and that seems to have taken a toll on her health.  The Saina Nehwal biopic will be helmed by 'Taare Zameen Par' director Amole Gupte and will be produced by Bhushan Kumar under the banner of T-series. The makers began filming the biopic on September 22. 

Referring to her role as the badminton star, Shraddha Kapoor reportedly said that she is really excited for the film. She identified Sania as a champion and a youth icon and stated that it will be a challenging role for an actor as it requires an immense amount of transformation.

On the professional front, the actress is busy with multiple projects. She recently had two back-to-back releases. Amar Kaushik's 'Stree' was a huge success and managed to cross the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office. The film also starred Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi and Aparshakti Khurana in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, her other venture 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu', which released on September 21, also stars Shahid Kapoor. Shraddha has also been roped in for Sujeeth's sci-fi film 'Sahoo' which also stars Prabhas, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Evelyn Sharma. It is scheduled to hit the theaters on May 31, 2019.
