Ayushmann Khurrana recently revealed the full cast of Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan with a quirky animated video. The movie, which is the sequel to Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, will be directed by Hitesh Kewalya. The film delves into the subject of homosexuality and the taboo surrounding it. The one-and-a-half-minute long video introduces characters and the names of the actors who will be portraying them on-screen.

Cast Revealed

This is the first time Ayushmann will be seen playing a homosexual character. Jitendra Kumar, who is known for acting in web shows, will be playing his love interest. Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan also stars Gajraj Rao, Neena Gupta, Manurishi Chaddha, Sunita Rajwar, Maanvi Gagroo, Pankhuri Awasthy, and Neeraj Singh in pivotal roles.

The film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar and Aanand L Rai, who also produced the prequel Shubh Mangal Saavdhan which received a positive response from both fans and critics. The movie dealt with the subject of erectile dysfunction and how a couple and their family deal with it. The film directed by RS Prasanna also starred Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role.

Different avatars of Ayushmann

Ayushmann was last seen in Dream Girl, which opened to rave reviews. The movie features Khurrana as a telecaller with a feminine voice. It takes an unexpected turn when men start falling in love with Ayushmann’s voice. The film also stars Nushrat Bharucha, Annu Kapoor, Manjot Singh, and Vijay Raaz among others.

Apart from Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, and Dream Girl, Ayushmann will also be starring in Bala, which is about premature balding. The actor will be seen sharing screen space with the veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan in Gulabo Sitabo. In an interview with a leading daily, Ayushmann Khurrana revealed how excited he was about his upcoming movies featuring him in entirely different avatars.
