Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan's daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda is known to be a very close friend of Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and actress Sharmila Tagore's daughter, actress Soha Ali Khan. The divas, who now share the same platform as authors, have been known to be quite encouraging towards each other. On Thursday, November 29, Shweta Bachchan penned a heartfelt note as Soha's recent book 'The Perils of Being Moderately Famous' got nominated for the Crossword Book Award. She also requested her followers to vote for Soha and her book.

"My dear friend Soha Ali Khan's book- 'The Perils of Being Moderately Famous' is nominated for the prestigious Crossword Book Award. Please vote for her and this charming funny book" she wrote in the post.

However, since nothing comes for free, Shweta also demanded her thank you gift from Soha and said, "If she wins I am hoping she sends me a cake and calls me over for a playdate with Inaaya, which I would LOVE!"

Actress-turned-author Soha Ali Khan launched her book 'The Perils of Being Moderately Famous' last year. It talks about the perils of being known by association and in relation to other more famous family members. The actress has been busy in full-time 'mommy duty' after she welcomed her daughter Inaaya Naumi Kemmu with husband Kunal Kemmu in 2017. The toddler has been the internet's favourite as pictures of her often go viral on social media.

Meanwhile, Shweta, unlike her family, was never into acting. Before marking her debut as an author, she had stepped in the business and marketing industry and launched her own clothing brand 'MXS'. Recently she launched a novel 'Paradise Towers' on October 6 in a grand event hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar. The event was attended by her parents Amitabh and Jaya who widely praised their daughter for her achievements. Karan Johar, who reviewed the book, described it as 'observant, moving, hilarious and exceptionally astute'.
