Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Shweta Nanda Bachchan seems to be living the ideal life by venturing into new markets. Shweta Bachchan who recently made her acting debut followed by launching her own fashion label has now launched her debut novel. The book titled 'Paradise Towers' is a quirky, intimate tale that explores the intertwined lives of people in Paradise Tower, an apartment building in central Mumbai. It is the tale of "a forbidden romance, an elopement, the undercurrents of tension in corridor interactions and an explosive Diwali celebration".

Sharing the cover of her book, Shweta Bachchan wrote, "There's no high like seeing your name on the spine of a book..."

Supporting his daughter, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, "Father's pride .. and the blessings of Dada ji .. love you"

Amitabh Bachchan's father Harivansh Rai Bachchan was a popular poet of the 20th century. He was honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 1986 for his contribution to Hindi literature.

Shweta Bachchan collaborated with fashion designer Monisha Jaising to start their own fashion label 'MxS'. On September 1 the duo officially launched their collection. The brand is said to be inspired by pop culture and contemporary streetwear. From sequinned tops to party-ready dresses, this store is said to have everything. As described on the website, the designs are meant for urban women who do not want to put their age into an ensemble.

Shweta Bachchan had made her acting debut recently. However, it met an unfortunate faith after the advertisement had to be pulled down owing to complaints from a bank union. The advertisement had Amitabh Bachchan and his daughter playing father-daughter who arrive at a bank to report an issue. However, they are pushed from counter to counter, until they get to meet the bank manager. They reveal to the bank manager that they had received the pension amount twice and would like to return it. To this, the manager tells them to keep the money and have fun. This is followed by a monologue by Amitabh Bachchan who speaks about trust and faith. This did not go down well with bank unions who felt that the ad shows banks in a bad light.
