Shweta Pandit tweets on the issue of Hema Sardesai defending Anu Malik

Recently, prominent Indian music director Anu Malik was accused of sexual misconduct by several singers including Sona Mohapatra, Shweta Pandit, and Neha Bhasin. However, Singer Hema Sardesai was seen defending Anu Malik. Read on to know more details.

Shaming Hema Sardesai's defence of Anu Malik:

Shweta Pandit tweeted that Sardesai's defence of Malik was beyond shameful. Further, she asked a serious rhetoric question on whether this statement means that a child abuse victim and a rape victim are equally involved in getting themselves abused. She stated that she was disgusted by the statement, especially because it is coming from a woman. Pandit said that the statement was highly insensitive and ignorant.

Singer Neha Bhasin and Sona Mohapatra were also seen speaking up about this issue. Basin stated that if this was 2004 and if she was not a 'dumb' 21-year-old, she would not have run but would have instead slapped him, to which Mohapatra reacted saying that 'minions of the patriarchy & perverts' do not deserve even mention here (Twitter) or anywhere in this discourse. She also went on to say, "it is obvious that they have popped up to serve the masters, shame the victims, survivors & bid to try weaken the Warriors! Won’t happen".
