Ranveer Singh who has been dabbling into a lot of different roles has taken the commercial route after a while. He will be next seen in 'Simmba' and the film's trailer is finally out as promised on December 3.
The trailer starts off with Ajay Devgn and scenes from 'Singham'. In his own words, the actor narrates that while he was all for justice and honesty, there was a young boy who also wanted to be a cop, but for a different reason. In comes Ranveer Singh as Bhalerao, a crooked cop who is fun and charismatic, but has a skewed sense of morals. He takes regular bribes from a local don played by Sonu Sood to turn a blind eye to his crimes. However, he is faced with a crisis when a girl he thinks of as his sister gets raped by Sonu's brothers. Now, he is faced with the dilemma of whether or not should turn on the very hand that fed him.
Ranveer has done a phenomenal job as usual, with his natural explosive energy acting as a perfect canvas for his character. Sara Ali Khan looks prettier than ever and has a couple of dialogues in the trailer at most. Hopefully, we will get to see more of her in the film. Moreover, the easter eggs from 'Singham' and a special appearance from Ajay Devgn himself as he flies into a godown in a police jeep are all highlights of the trailer. Overall, Rohit Shetty has played to his strengths yet again it seems and will deliver a pure entertainer that is perfect for the holiday season. Produced by Karan Johar, 'Simmba' is all set to release on December 28, 2018.
Meanwhile, the actor also graced the trailer launch of the film, which was his first public appearance on the professional front after his marriage with Deepilka Padukone. The two had tied the knot in Lake Como in Italy on November 14 and 15 in front of close friends and family.
