'Since My Life Was Out In The Open, Ego Was More Bruised': Katrina Kaif Opens Up About Her Break-up With Ranbir Kapoor

Katrina Kaif who rarely opens up about her personal life in public, recently spoke about her break-up with Ranbir Kapoor during 'Bharat' promotions.

Speaking about her break-up with Ranbir Kapoor, the actress in an interview to a leading media publication admitted to 'struggling' with it. She further went on to say that just by feeling 'bad', things will not go back to how they were. and so she decided to take charge. 

And now, in a recent conversation with a daily, Katrina broke her silence about the reason behind she opening up about Ranbir in media. She said that she would have never spoken if it was her choice. She only chose to talk and gave the bare minimum details because the media was interested and she 'couldn't have dodged a bullet' anymore. 

She further concluded the interview by saying that when she was going through a separation, one of her sisters was going through the same emotional phase. "That’s when I realised that since my life was out in the open, ego was more bruised, but at the end of the day, we both felt the same pain. I found solace in reading. My friends were also a strong source of support. I don’t have any regrets. I have come out of the experience a lot more mature," Katrina said.

In another interview, the actress had said, "I've always been emotional. I’m a Cancerian and a sensitive soul. I'm not going to lose that or change that for anyone. But what I have learnt is that as a woman, you must protect and maintain your identity. Your sense of self-worth comes from within and not from another person. You come into this world alone, and you leave alone. That’s something you should not lose sight of."

On the professional front, Katrina was last seen in Salman Khan's 'Bharat'. Including stellar performers like Disha Patani, Tabu, and Sunil Grover, the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial boasts of an ensemble cast promising power-packed performances. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, 'Bharat', produced by Atul Agnihotri's Reel Life Production Pvt. Ltd and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series released on Eid, 2019.
