Sonakshi Sinha recently cleared the air on rumours of her arrest and posting a clarification that read, 'Not the entire truth'. She will next be seen in 'Misson Mangal'

Sonakshi Sinha recently took to Instagram and posted a clarification after the hashtag #AsliSonaArrested trended on Twitter just a day back. Videos of the actress being arrested and accompanied to what seems a green room surfaced on the social space. "You can't arrest me like this. Do you know who I am? I have not done anything. How can you arrest me like that?" Sonakshi can be heard saying in one of the videos.

Clearing the air, she wrote, "Hey guys, I know there are some concerning videos doing the rounds. It's me but then that's not the entire truth. I will share everything in detail with you all soon,"

Before the actress' clarification, many netizens and fans were left extremely confused and worried. There were also many who branded the videos as a 'publicity stunt'.

Reacting to the video, many netizens inquired upon why the actress was getting arrested. While one user wrote, "bad news guys, #AsliSona is arrested and we don't know why", another user remarked saying that it was a mere publicity stunt. Read some of the reactions below:

Sonakshi Sinha was last seen in 'Khandaani Shafakhana', that also marks the acting debut of rapper Badshah in Bollywood. Sonakshi who has earlier collaborated with Badshah for 'Noor' revealed that he had to portray himself in the film and hence he didn't require any acting tips. The 2-hour-16-minute-long 'Khandaani Shafakhana' is directed by Shilpi Dasgupta. Post 'Khandaani Shafakhana', Sonakshi will be seen in 'Mission Mangal' where she is a part of an ensemble cast that includes Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menen and Akshay Kumar.

BOX OFFICE: 

From lack of buzz in the build-up to mixed reviews from fans and critics alike, nothing went in favour of ‘Khandaani Shafakhana’. As reports, the comedy based on Sonakshi’s character Baby Bedi, who inherits a sex clinic and tries to normalise the hush-hush conversations around sex, earned in the Rs 75 lakhs-Rs 1 crore range. Meanwhile, the spin-off of the extremely popular ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise earned on par with the Rs 11.06 crore earned by ‘The Lion King’ two weeks ago.
