Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor's 2010 venture 'Aisha' was filled fashion, friendship, and fun. The film starring Abhay Deol, Ira Dubey, Amrita Puri, Arunoday Singh, Cyrus Sahukar, and Lisa Haydon alongside Sonam was widely appreciated by the audience and critics.

Now, as the film completed 9 years of its release on Tuesday, August 6, Sonam shared a heartwarming post on social media to mark the occasion. Sharing a glimpse from the film's song -'By The Way' on Instagram, she opened up about how the film is very close to her heart. Talking about her character in the film, she said it was 'less a role for her and more like a best friend'.

She further reminisced the fun times she had while shooting for the film at different locations and said, "This movie is close to my heart as are the people associated with it"

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sonam is gearing up for the release of her upcoming venture 'The Zoya Factor', co-starring Dulquer Salmaan. The film is being helmed by Abhishek Sharma and is all set to release on September 20, this year. 

As per media reports, the film revolves around a Rajput girl named Zoya Singh Solanki, an executive in an advertising agency, who meets the Indian Cricket Team as part of a project. Following an interesting turn of events, she ends up becoming a lucky charm for the team during the 2011 Cricket World Cup.

The film marks Dulquer second project in Bollywood. He made his debut in the Hindi film industry in 2018 with Irrfan Khan-starrer 'Karwaan'.
