Dulquer Salmaan who made his Bollywood debut opposite Irrfan Khan in Karwaan, is already busy working on his next. Titled as the Zoya Factor, the film also stars Sonam Kapoor and the duo are shooting for it already. However, the two had a run-in with the Mumbai police in a really bizarre turn of events.
Apparently, there is a video of Dulquer doing the rounds on social media where he can be seen violating some road safety norms. The video shows the actor sitting in a driver's seat of his car but with a phone in his hands and hands off the steering wheel. The video, which was shot by Sonam where at the end she can be seen saying, "Weirdo".
However, she soon took to Twitter and defended her co-star as she explained that the car was actually rigged to a truck and he was not really driving the vehicle. But the Mumbai Police was not buying it. They responded to her tweet saying that they don't approve anyone risking their lives and lives of other drivers, be it in reel or real life.
But Dulquer had apparently seen enough of the drama unfold on social media. He promptly tweeted to Mumbai Police's handle saying that they should check some facts before tweeting things. The actor revealed that the police actually helped them with the permissions and traffic management during the shoot. As proof, he also posted a video of him sitting in the driver's seat where a truck can clearly be seen towing the vehicle. Looks like the Mumbai Police got this one wrong after all!
