Veteran actress Soni Razdan often shares throwback pictures on social media especially of her daughter and actress Alia Bhatt. From sharing Alia's childhood pictures to Alia's lunch and dinner dates with her, she often gives us a sneak-peek into Alia's childhood and her personal life. On August 19, 2018, the veteran actress shared a throwback picture of the 'Highway' actress on Instagram and pointed out that Alia has something in common with both her mother and maternal grandmother!

 

Soni Razdan was born to a German mother and a Kashmiri father. The veteran actress captioned a picture of her daughter as: ''This picture of Alia reminds me that she has Slavic blood in her veins. Her grandmother has that ... I do too naturally. And Kashmiri too. They blend well I would say 😍😍❤️❤️''

Before her Bollywood debut, Soni Razdan tried her luck in theatres. She started her career with acting in English theatre groups. Known for her stellar performance in the popular Television show 'Buniyaad', the actress who made her acting debut in the famous Bengali film '36 Chowringhee Lane' went onto essay the role of a supported actresses in hit films like 'Saathi', 'Sir', 'Monsoon Wedding', 'Page 3', to name a few. 

The mother-daughter duo shared screen space for the first time in one of the blockbuster movies of 2018, 'Raazi'. Soni Razdan played the role of Alia Bhatt's mother. On the work front, the 'Udta Punjab' actress is currently busy with Karan Johar's 'Kalank' which stars Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sanjay Dutt in the lead. The actress recently wrapped up her shoot scheduled for Ayan Mukherjee's trilogy 'Brahmastra' which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead roles. Alia Bhatt will also be seen next in Zoya Akhtar's 'Gully Boy' opposite Ranveer Singh.
