Sourav Ganguly hails Akshay Kumar's 'Mission Mangal', shares Bengali teaser of the film 'Yeh Sindoor' celebrating the country and its women.

On Thursday, August 1, Akshay Kumar unveiled a heartwarming new teaser of his upcoming venture 'Mission Mangal'. In the minute-long clip shared by the actor on social media, he can be seen celebrating the contribution of women for the successful Mars mission. The video featuring the female lead cast of the film gearing up for the launch has a voice-over of Akshay narrating a beautiful poem titled 'Yeh Sindoor' celebrating the country and its women.

The teaser was released in various Indian languages including Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and, others. After Riteish Deshmukh hailed Akshay for his stronghold in Marathi, former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly recently gave a shout out the film's Bengali teaser.

Sharing the same on social media 'dada' wrote, "Team #MissionMangal salutes the strength, courage, grace and the spirit of these strong women who believe that the sky is not the limit! Baangla e promo dekhun."

Following the same, Akshay Kumar replied to the former Cricketer and thanked him for the gesture. In the post, he talked about how science is universal and has no religion, colour, gender, or boundaries; and extended his tribute to the 'women in science'.

'Mission Mangal' to release on Independence day 2019

Meanwhile, 'Mission Mangal' starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari and H. G. Dattatreya in the lead is based on the real-life story of the Indian Space Research Organisation's Mars Orbiter Mission. The trailer of the film surfaced last month and the preview showcases how India, despite having its own challenges successfully manages to launch its spacecraft in Mars' orbit. The film is helmed by Jagan Shakti is all set to hit the theaters on August 15.
