South Star Nagarjuna Onboard 'Brahmastra', Returns To Bollywood After 15 Years

South Indian superstar Nagarjuna,  has confirmed that he is a part of Ayan Mukherjee’s directorial ‘Brahmastra’. The film which already has a star cast including Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan, just got better with the addition of this South Indian superstar.

For those unfamiliar with South Indian film stars, Nagarjuna is the actor you must have seen countless times thrashing the bad men in those Hindi dubbed Telugu movies.

The actor has already left for the European continent for a 10-day shoot. Alia Bhatt, too, is currently in Europe, so we can b sure he would at least be sharing screen space with Alia Bhatt.

Nagarjuna will be seen in a Bollywood film after 15 years. Talking to 'Bollywood life' before his departure to the European continent he confirmed on doing the film and said that he cannot even remember which was his last Bollywood film. He thought it was Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Zakhm’.The actor, however, realised his last Hindi movie was JP Dutta’s 'LOC Kargil' in 2003. When he was corrected that ‘Zakhm’ was not his last Bollywood film he said that he had a very brief appearance in 'LOC', while ‘Zakhm’ was his last full-fledged role in a Hindi film.

Reminiscing his ‘Zakhm’ days, the actor said that memories of Alia Bhatt as a child on Bhatt Saab’s set is still afresh. He told how time flies as he will be now working alongside that little child.


The actor is also shooting for his new Telugu film, which is being directed by newcomer Sriram Adittya. Speaking about coming on board ‘Brahmastra’, the 58-year-old actor said that his films in Andhra Pradesh keep him busy. However, he is always open to doing films in any language if the set-up is good. He said that he found the script of ‘Brahmastra’ impressive and said yes to it immediately.

However, the actor was mum about his role in the film. The film is slated to release on August 15  2019.
