It seems like being a part of memes is the new cool with actors themselves admitting that they find it hilarious. Recently, commenting on the viral meme that has been doing rounds, Anushka Sharma revealed that she thought that the memes were funny and shared them with her co-stars Varun, Sharat Katariya and a few friends. She further stated that it is a compliment since it implies that her character from the film has left an impression on the audience. Further stating that memes are a common feature these days, Anushka said that she has taken the entire affair very sportingly.

Another actress who has featured in a series of viral memes recently is Radhika Apte. The internet is flooded with a flurry of Radhika Apte memes following her appearances in three Netflix originals namely, ‘Sacred Games’, ‘Lust Stories’ and ‘Ghoul’. Commenting on how netizens are having a hearty laugh at her expense, Radhika said,

"I was very happy. I think it is a great compliment because it is such a great platform. Who would not like to be a part of the projects from Netflix.”

Talking about the platform, Radhika further added,

“With Netflix, what happens is that they stress on the quality because it is a global platform. They will give you the freedom to choose topics, projects and creative control but they are very particular about the quality.”

Meanwhile, the Sharat Kataria directorial ‘Sui Dhaaga’ is slated for a release on September 28. Besides this, Anushka Sharma will also be seen in ‘Zero’ alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. The film, directed by Anand L. Rai, is slated for a release on December 21, 2018.
