'Super 30' founder Anand Kumar reveals he's been diagnosed with a brain tumour, makes heartbreaking remark on Hrithik Roshan's film on him

Hrithik Roshan's 'Super 30' is based on Patna based Mathematics wizard Anand Kumar. However, in a recent interview, the celebrated educationalist revealed that he has been diagnosed with brain tumour.

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan's 'Super 30' is all set to release on the big screen. The film revolves around Patna based Mathematics wizard Anand Kumar, who teaches underprivileged children for free and helps them crack the IIT entrance exam. 

However, in a recent interview with ANI, Kumar revealed that he is suffering from an acoustic neuroma, which is a rare form of brain tumour. "The film writer's wanted that I permit for the film as quickly as possible. You have no idea of life and death, so I wanted this biopic to be made while I am alive," he said.

Narrating an incident dated in 2014, the celebrated educationalist stated that he was unable to hear from the right ear and had to undergo a lot of treatment and tests. Giving specifics, he said that he had checked into Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi and it was the doctors there who first broke the news of the medical issue. 

 Meanwhile, 'Super 30' directed by Vikas Bahl chronicles the life story of India's mathematician Anand Kumar.

The mathematical genius based in Bihar opens an institute to teach the underprivileged children. Under the 'Super 30' initiative, Anand trained Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) aspirants crack the entrance exam to the prestigious institute.

The upcoming biopic will be produced by Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films. Besides Hrithik, the film also stars Mrunal Thakur, Amit Sadh, and Nandish Sandhu in pivotal roles. It is scheduled to hit the theaters on July 12, 2019.
