Much-anticipated Bollywood comedy drama 'Housefull 4' has been making it up to the news ever since it was announced. Now, in an interesting update, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has joined the cast of the upcoming venture.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and made the announcement of the same. In a recent post, he revealed that the cast of the film will reunite yet again to resume shooting for the same by the end of May. He wrote, "#Update: Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Sajid Nadiadwala’s #Housefull4... Directed by Farhad Samji... The cast will reunite for the shoot this month-end."

Here's the post:

This comes as a surprise to the fans, as the star cast wrapped up shooting for the film on November 20, last year. The multi-starrer venture features Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Kharbanda, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Chunky Panday, Johnny Lever, and Boman Irani, among others. The fourth installment of the franchise has been shot extensively in London, Rajasthan, and Mumbai. Revolving around the theme of reincarnation, the film reportedly follows a non-linear narrative. It is scheduled to hit the theaters around Diwali 2019.

While the reason for the sudden change of plans is yet not clear, it will be interesting to see Nawazuddin in a comedy film as he is mostly known for portraying serious roles.

'Housefull 4' made up to the headlines after former actress Tanushree Dutta accused veteran actor Nana Patekar, who was then a part of the film, of misconduct and initiated the 'MeToo' movement in Bollywood. Later filmmaker Sajid Khan was also accused of sexual harassment following which quit the project. As per media reports, Patekar was replaced by 'Baahubali' fame Rana Daggubati whereas 'Housefull 3' director Farhad Samji took over the reins of 'Housefull 4.'

This is the second time Nawazuddin is collaborating with producer Sajid Nadiadwala for a film. Five years back they worked together in Sajid's directorial debut 'Kick' which also featured Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez.

Meanwhile,  Nawazuddin Siddiqui has quite a number of films in line for release including 'Bole Chudiyan' where he is all set to share screen space with gold actress Mouni Roy. Moreover, recently he wrapped up shooting for 'Raat Akeli Hai' which also stars Radhika Apte.  In fact, he is also roped for an international venture which will be an adaptation of Aasif Mandvi's book 'No Land's Man'.
