Remixing old tracks seems to be the flavour of the season in Bollywood and adding to that ever-increasing list was the song 'Dilbar'. The original track from the 1999 release 'Sirf Tum' featured Sushmita Sen. The actress' graceful moves and captivating eyes struck a chord with the audience making it the most popular track of the year. 'Dilbar' was rehashed and filmed to the stunning dance moves of Nora Fatehi in the John Abraham starrer 'Satyamev Jayate'. The remixed version of the song garnered an immensely positive response and the video on YouTube has garnered over one million views so far. While Sushmita hailed the efforts of the team behind the remixed version of her original song, she had no qualms in admitting that she preferred her version of the song.

The rehashed version of 'Dilbar' is sung by Neha Kakkar, Dhvani Bhanusali and Ikka. The music of the song is composed by Tanishk Bagchi to the lyrics penned by Shabbir Ahmed and Ikka. Talking about Nora's version of 'Dilbar', Sushmita said,

“Nora was absolutely fantastic in it and my favourite part of this song are the first two lines, which they added and is very well done. The remix is also very well done.” She, however, went on to add, "Nora has absolutely killed it but I still like the original version more."

The song featured in 'Satyamev Jayate' which hit screens on India's 72nd Independence Day. The Milap Zaveri directorial 'Satyameva Jayate' follows the story of a cop (played by Manoj Bajpayee), who is on a mission to unravel the reason behind the murders of police officers. The John Abraham starrer also features Amruta Khanvilkar and Aisha Sharma among others. The film has raked in Rs 75.09 crore at the box office so far. As per reports, earlier, while picking their favourite between the original and revamped version, the cast of 'Satyamev Jayate' said that they preferred the new one.

Meanwhile, 'Satyamev Jayate' clashed with Akshay Kumar's 'Gold' at the box office. The film, which also stars Amit Sadh, Kunal Kapoor, Vineet Kumar Singh, Sunny Kaushal who play hockey players, is helmed and written by Reema Kagti and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.
