Taapsee Pannu is a model and an actress who is very popular in the south Indian film industry and as well as in the Bollywood industry. She has been seen in many Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi films. Throughout her career, her films have managed to garner a lot of appreciation from the audience. Let's take a look at her journey.

Taapsee Pannu before joining Bollywood

Taapsee Pannu was born on August 1, 1987, in Delhi to a Punjabi- Sikh family, to mother Nirmaljeet Pannu and father Dil Mohan Singh Pannu. She has one sister named Shagun Pannu. Taapsee graduated from Guru Tegh Bahadur Institue of Technology in New Delhi where she graduated as a Computer Science Engineer.  She has featured on the cover of many popular magazines too.

Taapsee entered the glam industry through modelling. She won many titles such as "Pantaloons Femina Miss Fresh Face" and "Safi Femina Miss Beautiful Skin" in 2008 at the Femina Miss India contest. She made her acting debut in 2010 with K.Raghavendra Rao's musical romantic Telugu film Jhummandi Naadam. Then in 2011, she was seen in a Tamil film Aadukalam. The film was critically acclaimed and won six awards at the 58th National Film Awards. She was seen in more Telugu films and then stepped into the Malayalam film industry with Doubles (2011). With the passing years, she went on to become a popular face in the south Indian film industry.

Taapsee made her Bollywood debut in 2013 with Chashme Baddoor. In 2013, she was seen in the big-budget action thriller Arrambam. She was also roped in for Akshay Kumar's film Baby(2015) to play the character of an undercover agent. She managed to leave a good impact on the audience through her work in films like Pink, Tadka, Agra ka Daabra and Ghazi, etc.

Saand Ki Aankh

The film tells the story of the world's oldest sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi Tomar, and marks the directorial debut of acclaimed scriptwriter Tushar Hiranandani. The film stars Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles. Saand ki Aankh hits the screens on October 25.
