Tanushree has accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of misconduct while the duo was shooting for a special song for 'Horn Ok Please' in 2008. In addition to accusing Nana Patekar, the 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' actress also lashed out at choreographer Ganesh Acharya for pressurising her for an intimate sequence in the song. The actress further went on to accuse the producer of the film, Sami Siddiqui and director Rakesh Sarang of harassing her on the set.

While several celebrities have maintained silence on the issue including Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Kalki Koechlin and Shakti Kapoor to name a few. Recently, actress Anushka Sharma opened up her though on the Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar row. Varun Dhawan is the latest addition to the list of celebrities that have come out in support of Tanushree Dutta.
Varun Dhawan who had initially taken a stand for Tanushree Dutta was also present at the success party and said, "You know its almost about care at the workplace. Its a basic thing that tomorrow if I am doing a film with anyone, anyone, an I don't want to make this only about gender but suppose we all are going somewhere and there is a big crowd and someone is getting pushed around, I will want to come and see if they are okay and if anything has happened to them. And similarly, that will be their emotion towards me to see if I am okay."
Talking about how the paparazzi is careful when women reporters are around, Dhawan said, "And I've been this even with the press because in today's time there are many women working in the paparazzi. I want to say that it is your duty also to take care of not pushing them. There's always some pushing but i have noticed that you take care that the women are not getting pushed. All these things do happen, but we have to be careful about people who are with us, or make sure that nothing is going wrong."
Further talking about the incident, the 'Main Tera Hero' actor said, "I'm just saying that if any such thing was to take place at my film set then I would try and prevent this from happening, stop it. You cannot let this, let violence take over. What the matter is should be investigated. I think we have great law and order in our country. Let the law an order take its course and investigate the matter. Let's not jump to conclusions. But there is some stuff going around on the internet. There need to bee a conclusion. The law needs to step in now. This happened in 2008 and we are reacting in 2018. I think that's not a good thing."
Tanushree Dutta had also accused director Vivek Agnihotri of misbehaviour on the sets of the film 'Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets'. She alleged that the filmmaker asked her to take off her clothes and dance, in order to give cues to one of the male actors. However, she said that Irrfan Khan and Suniel Shetty stepped in, took a stand for her and reprimanded the director for the same.
Meanwhile, actress Tanushree Dutta who is currently under police protection after receiving multiple threats has received two legal notices and has her legal team in place to fight what she calls is not a 'news story anymore but a war countless millions are fighting'. The 'Dhol' actress has received one legal notice for Nana Patekar, while the second one was served by director Vivek Agnihotri. Nana Patekar is expected to hold a press conference on October 8.
