Tanushree Dutta in her latest revelation spoke about how she was sexually harassed while filming a special song for 'Horn Ok Please' in 2008. The actress revealed that Bollywood Actor Nana Patekar misbehaved with her on the sets while filming the song and accused him of sexual harassment. The actress further lashed out at renowned choreographer Ganesh Acharya for pressurising her for an intimate sequence in the song. The actress also accused produce Sami Siddiqui and director Rakesh Sarang of harassing her on the sets of the film.
Several eminent personalities from Bollywood came out in support of Tanushree Dutta including Sonam Kapoor, Twinkle Khanna, Swara Bhasker, Richa Chadha, Farhan Akhtar, Priyanka Chopra and Anurag Kashyap to name a few. The latest addition to the list of Bollywood celebrities who came out in support for the 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' actress is Kangana Ranaut.
As per reports, Kangana said that she was not her to pass any kind of judgement and it is neither her place nor her intention to. The actress who is known for speaking her mind reportedly said that she appreciates Tanushree's courage to speak about the alleged harassment that she faced and that it is Tanushree and the accused's (Nana Patekar's) fundamental right to speak about their experience of the same situation. According to reports, the 'Queen' actress further went on to say that such a dialogue is very healthy and will bring about awareness. Kangana also said that it was unfortunate how most Indian men have been raised by their mothers lacking basic etiquettes like lifting the lid before peeing, as reported.
Further talking about the issue, Kangana reportedly said the Indian men need to be told the meaning of 'NO' which is in the interest of the society, to be told what their parents fail to tell them. As per reports, Kangana also said that it would be news to some of them but the kind of rape, harassment and teasing news reports that one hears about every other day, makes her wonder if some of these "Zombies" out there qualify to be human. Reportedly, Kangana feels that one needs to talk about it and share their stories to bring a sense of shame and fear in Indian men as they will know that a girl can take a stand for herself at any given point. According to Kangana, women's stories about the same have no expiry date, as reported.
What's next for Kangana Ranaut
Kangana Ranaut is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming film 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi'. The film has been making headlines ever since it was announced. However, the film recently made headlines as 'Dabangg' actor Sonu Sood and director Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi walked out of the film. Director Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, popularly known as Krish abandoned the Kangana Ranaut starrer midway to shoot the NTR biopic starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, Vidya Balan, Rana Daggubati, Rakul Preet Singh and Sumanth in pivotal roles.
