Tanushree Dutta who had been out of the limelight for quite sometime recently opened up about an incident of sexual harassment. The 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' actress in her latest revelation accused actor Nana Patekar of making her feel uncomfortable while she was shooting for a special song from the film 'Horn Ok Please' which she eventually opted out of. The incident took place in 2008 and the actress finally broke her silence on it after 10 years.
Tanushree also lashed out at renowned choreographer Ganesh Acharya alleging that he was complicit to her harassment on the sets while Nana Patekar made her feel uncomfortable, as reported. As per reports, Tanushree said that Patekar allegedly made her feel uncomfortable as he misbehaved with her while filming a special song from the film and that her complaint regarding the same was unaddressed.
In an interview with ANI, Dutta said, "He misbehaved on the sets. He was being aggressive and was pushing me around. I Complained about him, but it was not heard. They (film crew) were forcing me to do an intimate step. My contract stated that it was a solo dance sequence, and it was not supposed to be a duet. It was a way to manipulate me. This was the whole harassment situation going on."
Tanushree also stated that it was choreographer Ganesh Acharya who pressurised her to perform an intimate step for the song. The actress went on to name several eminent personalities that were involved, including Nana Patekar, Ganesh Acharya, Vivek Agnihotri, Sami Siddiqui and Rakesh Sarangi, to name a few.
Nana Patekar finally broke his silence on the accusations of sexual harassment made by Tanushree Dutta on Thursday, September 27. The 'Welcome' actor initially laughed it off when he was questioned about the allegations, as reported. According to reports, Patekar asked what Dutta meant by sexual harassment when 200 people were present on the set, in front of them as they shot for the song. However, Nana Patekar said that he will see what can be done legally and said that it was wrong/inappropriate to talk to the media for everything will be blown out of proportion, as reported. On Tanushree Dutta's allegations of there being a different side to him, Patekar reportedly said that he will continue to do in his life what he has been doing and anyone can say anything they want.
Nana Patekar who is contemplating to take legal action against Tanushree Dutta didn't really have much to say about being accused by the actress of sexual harassment. Patekar neither denied the allegations nor accepted them and simply said that he would see how he can proceed legally with reference to the situation.
Seems like Tanushree's explosive allegations about the actor have made no difference for several Bollywood celebrities refused to comment on the accusations as they stirred clear of it. Patekar himself seems to be unaffected by the situation and is currently shooting for his upcoming film 'Housefull 4' which is the fourth instalment of the 'Housefull' series in Jaisalmer.
